Primarily a fiber artist, I experimented with fusing oxidation processes (in paint) and embroidery. I love earthly colors and rust, and the contrasting colors in this piece remind me of a partially rusted ship's bilge.
This piece is a painted collage on a wooden plate.
It is ready to hang (comes with a small hook glued on backside) or to be put in a shadow frame (not included).
Techniques: collage with fabrics
Materials: fabric, paper, acrylic paint, oxidated metal powder, wood
Measurements: 15 x 15 x 1.3 cm
|Dimensions||5.9 × 5.9 × 0.5 in|
Claudia Jaeggi Textile Art
I am a part-time Swiss textile artist and special education teacher. As hand embroidery is used in both arts and crafts, I like to create higher end wall art and sculptures as well as unique accessories and home decor for your personal use.
Where possible, I use upcycled materials, acid free papers, color fast yarns and high quality picture frames.
Don’t hesitate to contact me in case you have an idea that you want me to translate into stitch – I am happy to do commissions!
