Hand colored engraving of John Selden (scholar & jurist). Engraved by R. Scriven. Dated 1823. Publisher/printer: Harding, Mayor, & Lepard (London). I believe that this engraving comes from the book “Personages of Great Britain” by Edmund Lodge. 6.5″ x 9.5″. The color are still quite rich and vibrant, with fine detailing. This 200 year old paper object has light age/wear; please see photos.

This is an original hand colored engraving from an antique publication, it is not a reproduction.
