This is a stunning antique button — the features are finely articulated and dimensional, the gold glow is spectacular, and the design, while featuring what might be a mythology figure (such as Minerva, albeit with a short crop), is uncommon. I believe “Mizpah” in this context signifies a token of remembrance. It is a very fine object. Diameter: 1 1/8″. There is some paper residue on the back, maybe from an old label.
