A wonderful pair of early vintage lace gloves, crocheted in very fine cotton thread, with an unusual pattern around the wrist and an elegant closure, with petite crochet-covered buttons. Most of the time, when you encounter older lace gloves, they are in very tiny sizes — this pair, however, is sized more generously. I believe it would fit best a hand that is between a size small and medium in ladies gloves, and would probably fit a size medium well too. I wear a medium/large glove (depending on material), and this pair is too snug for comfort on me. There is some stretch in the lace body of the glove, to allow for some sizing flexibility. The gloves are 9.5″ in length, and they measure about 3.25″ across the palm (6.5″ circumference), when measured FLAT and completely un-stretched (ie would accommodate a greater circumference). I see no faults, perhaps just the gentlest hint of age. The color is a light ecru / “natural” — this may lighten/brighten somewhat in a wash.
