Report an abuse for product Afghanistan, Vintage Pashtun Silver Pendant with Carnelian, Item 74
Weigh yourself down with this huge pendant! Ornate and intricately detailed, it looks like something King Henry the VIII might have worn.
The piece is completely hand constructed, with hand cut embellishments soldered on. It is hollow inside, but closed in the back. It does show wear, both on the front and in back.
The carnelian stone in the middle has a carved prayer or blessing in Pashtu. Metal content: high in silver, other metals mixed. The flowers are gold plated and glass seed beads decorate the flower petals.
The Pashtun are the largest ethnic majority of Afghanistan and this is one of their jewelry samples.
