This unique fair-trade Amazon belt was hand-made by a native artisan from the Ampiyacu region of the Peruvian Amazon. This belt is stylish, sturdy and comfortable. It is woven from 1.25 inch wide chambira palm fiber attached by a black leather piece to a quality brass-plated buckle (leather not shown in current photo). This is a great way to show your appreciation for native culture and the environment and a great choice for vegans and others looking for a belt without leather. This belt has a four colors of diagonal bands based on the pattern of an Amazon coral snake. Each belt comes with a tag listing the artisan’s name, community and the plants they used to make it.
