Description
Farrah is an encaustic and oil. She was a horse that was rescued by a friend that rescued draft horses in Arizona.
Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using a heated encaustic medium (wax and varnish) to which colored pigments have been added for creating artworks. I then apply the molten medium to a prepared wooden board and heat it with a heat gun to fix it.
I have been professionally painting for over 30 years. I’ve had numerous art publishers (Martin Lawrence Galleries, John Szoke Art Publisher, Galerie-F, and Liberty Puzzles). I paint watercolors, silk and enjoy encaustics as well as drawing and sketching. I am originally from Los Angeles and now live in Cornwall, NY. My website is: https://www.LinneaPergola.com
