Description

This contemporary textile wall art is made with the Korean Pojagi / Bojagi / Jogakbo technique. This technique plays with the contrast created by the lines of the seams, respect organza transparency. We have sought to enrich this concept by incorporating visual textures. So we play with the patterns created with the shibori technique.

In blue and Orange colors. This work belongs to the Fujisan series, designed with the same structure but which can be found in different shades.

The tapestry does not need framing and comes ready to hang, as it has a cloth sleeve on the back to be able to pass a wooden bar or transparent methacrylate, and hang it on the wall. The bar is not included.

Our interior design line responds to the growing demand for textile wall hangings. We want to dress, decor and give warmth to vital spaces, whether family homes, as public and private spaces.

We value the pure lines where the prominence and accent is placed on color and texture, which we get by painting and dyeing the silk.
Our tapestries are made by hand, from the dyeing of the silk to the final stitch. There may be some little difference between the color on your screen and the actual color, due to the color settings of each screen.

Size: 36 x 17” 44×93 cm

Materials: 100% hand painted silk organza.

Care: To keep the tapestry clean, use a duster from time to time. It can be washed by hand, in cold water, with a textile mild soap. Do not twist or soak. Remove excess water by rolling it up in a towel. Iron at medium temperature carefully. For any questions you can contact us. If you prefer that we wash it foy you, contact us. Dry cleaning is not recommended. You can see our video on Youtube where we show how to wash silk.

We are two sisters sharing a studio in Barcelona, Spain. We came from different areas professionally. Cecília, a Technical Draughtswoman, worked as a Purchasing Manager. Mercè, Chemical Engineer, in the Department of the Environment. In 2000, we decided to make a living from our passion. We started with silk crafts an in 2006 began to paint silk for textiles. Uniting these two skills, silk painting and textile art, opened to us an immense field in which to experiment. Our expertise has led us to teaching workshops and we have a Youtube channel with tutorials. Our shop on Etsy focuses on our wall art and we have a shop on our website with accessories. Visit both! https://desedamas.com/ and https://www.etsy.com/shop/SILKARTdesedamas. We do accept commissions. Don’t hesitate to contact us.
