Rising Star Quilt – Double Star Delight

This handmade red, white and blue, made to order Rising Star quilt can be made in your choice of size and color scheme. Pictured in crib size, this quilt is a combination of gorgeous bold and colorful red and blue fabrics set in a bright white background. With its patriotic flavor, it is sure to add a touch of wow to any room or nursery. This pattern can be made in any size and colors to suit your needs, since it is made to order.

Please note that since the original quilt pictured has sold, the made to order version will not be in exactly the same prints, but as close as possible. Fabrics will be discussed and decided on prior to quilt construction.

All quilts are made from 100% high quality cotton, with an all over quilting design that permanently connects all three layers of the quilt together with beautiful stitching.

This quilt was pieced and quilted entirely in my non-smoking studio, here in Owingsville, KY.

HOW QUILTS ARE MADE

The top layer of the quilt is sewn together, piece by piece, on my Bernina 440 machine. Colors and fabric designs are carefully chosen and coordinated prior to cutting and stitching. Creating the quilt top is typically the longest part of the process.

The middle layer is hidden, inside the top and bottom layer, and is a soft layer of batting of premium cotton.

The bottom or back layer of the quilt is made of only one fabric, which can be a solid or print that coordinates with the top.

All three layers are sandwiched together, then carefully quilted in an all over pattern for the quickest result.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

All quilts can be machine washed in cold water, and machine dried. With each wash, the quilt will become softer.
