I learned to sew as a child, but didn’t discover the world of art quilts until 1986. The world of fiber art quickly became my passion. My design and technical skills have been enhanced through participation in workshops at the Quilt/Surface Design Symposium in Columbus, Ohio since 1991, where I studied design and technique with such teachers as Sue Benner, Caryl Bryer Fallert, Emily Richardson, and Cynthia Corbin. I studied surface design with Ann Johnston, Carol Soderlund, and others. My work is sold at the Potomac Fiber Arts Gallery in the Torpedo Factory, Alexandria, VA, and through my website and has been exhibited in local and regional shows in the Washington, DC area. Many of my quilts are in private collections.
