Description
This exquisite dress is made from a fabulous purple-magenta ombre fabric, which was discovered in a jumble bag. Crafted with utmost care, I used a vintage pattern to create a beautiful wrap skirt that is both elegant and stylish. The dress features a cross-over, tie-back halter top, adding a touch of sophistication to the overall design. To enhance its allure, hand beading accents have been delicately added to the skirt waist and halter hem. Versatility is key with this dress, as the skirt can also be worn as a strapless dress, allowing you to effortlessly switch up your look. Designed to fit sizes 6 – 8, this dress is perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a formal event or a casual gathering. Embrace the beauty of this dress and make a statement wherever you go!
ABOUT
Gini Holmes is a traditionally trained print maker who loves combining traditional with experimental printing techniques. She has many works in private collections in the United States and Abroad.
She enjoys creating clothing and accessories from fabrics she finds in thrift stores, donations, or retail dead stock. She either directly upcycles the fabric into a new garment, or manipulates it through different textile techniques, including:
• Digital printing from a personal design
• Printing with found objects
• Botanical printing
• Breakdown surface printing
• Dyeing
No printing is ever the same, making each item unique.
She also loves a good “play on words.”
