Description
Handspun Yarn Crochet Mosaic Rug — Evening Clouds
The beautiful and significant moment — the end of a day. Each time so different. No evening is like the ones before and there will never be one that is like the present. Same about the clouds, they move with the wind, they change with the sun and they never repeat. The symphony of colors is being rewritten every evening again and again.

The size of the rug 150cm/59in x 50cm/19in allows you to use it in multiple ways. It can be laid on a chair or on a sofa to add a dab of texture and color to your interior. You can use it as a stole. It is made mostly of wool and is very warm. It can also be used as a wrap overskirt, a silver or gold plated kilt needle is supplied with each rug. The Evening Clouds can also be hung on a wall as a piece of textile art.
A signature ‘Tija’ is crocheted in one of the mosaic pieces.
If you wish to have the mosaic rug hanged on the wall, please let me know in the message to seller when purchasing — I will supply the hardware for hanging.
All items in this shop are my original design and made entirely and exclusively by me.
A small sachet of dried lavender (organically grown in my garden) will accompany the rug. Please let me know if you do not like lavender.
Please bear in mind, that even though I try to keep the tones on the photos as close to the original as it is possible — they still might differ a bit from real life due to monitor settings etc.

Tija lives in Latvia and says:
“Seeing colours, feeling textures, painting with fiber all that makes me feel alive. Tapestry crochet has become my passion. Within it, I can unite all forms of creativity I have loved and learned since my childhood. After graduating from art school, where I learned academic painting and drawing, I studied textile arts. And now I paint my wearable tapestries using the crochet hook as a brush and all kinds of fibers, yarns and threads. -Tija”
