Celebration of winter at the Smithsonian Castle; art quilt



A fun little scene of local birds gathered in a pine tree, in front of the Smithsonian Institution’s Castle historic building. A squirrel would like some acorn pudding for a holiday feast – a twist on the traditional Christmas carol.

The Castle and background were created with fabric pastels. Birds are also drawn on fabric. The furry squirrel and tree details are thread-sketched.
