A necklace designed for either men or women.
17-19″ adjustable necklace with Ethiopian nickle silver Coptic cross and metal spacer beads. Powder glass beads from Ghana and trailed cross beads from Kenya. glass eye beads.
Silver plated clasp, extender chain and findings. Multicolored color scheme
The Krobo glass powder bead patterns imitate the trade beads imported into Africa from Venice.These beads are mainly made from recycled ground up glass, thus the name. The Kenyan glass cross trailed beads also imitate a widespread old Venetian pattern.
The Ethiopian crosses come in both silver and brass.
Tribal and ethnic style necklaces are definitely a major trend. They are colorful and their history and production is an interesting story. Unlike any necklace anywhere else.
