Description
Our microwave steamer is an easy way to introduce quick, healthy options to your meals and a reminder of how tasty vegetables can be with simple preparation. Add your favorite vegetable (or veggie medley), along with 1-2 tablespoons of water (or broth) in the bottom and replace the lid. While cooking in the microwave, the vegetables are steamed evenly as the closed top recirculates heat and the holes allow excess steam to escape.
Once bright and tender, the veggies are ready to serve. For additional flavor, add a small pinch of salt, pepper, lemon, butter, garlic, olive oil, chili oil, sesame oil, or your favorite spice before serving. Best of all, the Vegetable Steamer is handcrafted of durable, high-fired stoneware pottery that is safe for microwave cooking (unlike many plastics) and easy to clean.
Made by hand in North Carolina, the dish is also safe for the dishwasher and the American-made color glazes are lead-free and cadmium-free. Instructions included.
