Another item in my Afghan Treasures series .
Lapis lazuli turtles on torched copper french wires.
These dangle earrings are made from my old stock of handmade Afghan beads. They are made from an excellent quality lapis lazuli in the typical Afghan matte finished manner. Most such beads made today have a shiny finish and are made in India or China.
The textured rings and findings are gold washed torched copper.
Lapis of this quality is hard to find at high prices and virtually unavailable at modest prices.
