Ten Thousand Villages helped pioneer the concept of fair trade in the United States. They work with hundreds of artisans in several countries and we are happy to have them here on Artizan Made. We are an affiliate seller for them and when you click on the “Shop Now” button, you will go to their site where you can explore all of their beautiful products.

If you purchase anything, we will receive a percentage of the sale which helps us with our overhead. Many thanks for supporting fair trade!

Relax in our soft, block-print robe, wrapped in prints of flowers and vines. Block printing is a labor-intensive method of hand-printing fabric. The artisans imprint the cloth with a wooden block featuring a hand-carved design and a guide or registration point to dovetail both designs and colors. The printer moves from left to right, dipping the design block into the dye and stamping it onto the cloth. This is repeated to cover the entire cloth with the intended design and colors.
