Description
This loose fitting jacket with structured sleeves was made from a re-purposed damask table cloth found in a thrift store. I dyed the fabric a light sea green and used both the “right side” and “wrong side” of the cloth to block colors and add distinction. When dyed, parts of the cloth, signatures from its fomer life showed up, so I appliqued scraps of the damask over the marks. The unlined, French seams make the inside as “clean” as the outside. One covered button serves as the front closure. Welt pockets. V9307.

ABOUT
Gini Holmes is a traditionally trained print maker who loves combining traditional with experimental printing techniques. She has many works in private collections in the United States and Abroad.

Dyeing
No printing is ever the same, making each item unique.
She also loves a good “play on words.”
