Hormizd King of Kings set has an authentic silver artifact from Persia aged over 1400 years. A pendant in the Horzmid set is a silver used-to-be coin (drachm) struck in 580’s. I gently cleaned and restored this coin. And British Museum has the same artifact in its collection (Museum number1913,0411.124). So, proudly wear a piece of history!

Who was Hormizd?
Hormizd (AD 579-590) is the Middle Persian version of the name of the supreme deity in Zoroastrianism, known in the Old Persian as Auramazda. Hormizd, like all other Sasanian rulers, was an adherent of Zoroastrianism, but was very tolerant to other religions. He even married to a Christian woman and prayed to a military saint the martyr St. Sergius.
What about the times? Hormizd’s IV reign was marked by constant warfare: to the west, war with the Byzantine Empire, and to the east, Iran. Garnet, an ancient symbol of friendship. In the past, garnets have been exchanged between parting friends to symbolize their affection and to ensure that they meet again.
Pendant is a real Persian antique coin
A pendant in Horzmid set is a silver used-to-be coin (drachm) struck in 580’s. Elena Nahum Leroy cleaned and restored this coin.
On the obverse side of the drachm you’ll see the bust of Hormizd IV, wearing tall cap, crenellated crown with crescent and diadem tie below elevated globe, crescent at front, star left and right. The reverse shows the Fire altar with upturned diadem ties. Two facing attendants wearing crowns with globe, holding staff resting on the ground in front.
And British Museum has the same artifact in its collection (Museum number1913,0411.124). So, proudly wear a piece of history!
